About this Role
OzHarvest is seeking a dedicated Education Coordinator for Queensland to lead the implementation of the FEAST Program in local primary and high schools. This pivotal role involves coordinating the program rollout, supporting schools, and fostering partnerships to enhance program engagement. The coordinator will also contribute to program evaluation and research in education, sustainability, and nutrition.
As an advocate for change, the Education Coordinator will empower students to become community leaders in nutrition literacy, food waste reduction, and environmental impact.
This position is a permanent part-time with 22.8 hours per week (3 days), fixed-term contract for 6 months (January – July This is a hybrid role where you can combine working on-site at our office in Queensland and working from home.

- Bachelor Degree or higher in High School or Primary Education.
We are looking for someone who has:
- Ability to research, analyse and apply current information on the QLD Curriculum Outcomes, Australian Curriculum, health education and environmental sustainability.
- Commitment to addressing equality and an understanding of the issues that impact on program delivery in relation to social disadvantage, Indigenous or CALD communities.
- Ability to engage with and nurture productive and effective relationships with Government Departments, councils, community and corporate partners and participating schools.
- Competency and confidence in a kitchen environment.
- Solid understanding of nutrition and/or environmental sustainability.
- Excellent public speaking, proposal writing, persuasion and closing skills.
- Ability to motivate and work successfully with volunteers, staff and other people within varied interests and backgrounds.
- CRM expertise such as Salesforce and experience in using online training platforms.
- Solid understanding of OzHarvest and its various programs.
