Lead Excellence in Cancer Care - Associated Nurse Unit Manager, Senior Nurse

About the role: 

Reporting to the Nurse Unit Manager both Professionally and Operationally, some of your duties for the role will include:

  • Participate in clinical teaching, overseeing learning experience, and goal setting for students, new staff and staff with less experience
  • Act to resolve local and/or immediate nursing care or service delivery problems
  • Provide proficient, person centred, clinical nursing care and/or individual case management to patients/clients in a defined clinical area
  • Human and resource management.

About you:

  • Registered Nurse/Midwife with at least 3 years, full time equivalent, post registration experience
  • Ability to prioritise workload and meet set timelines, whilst working under minimal supervision
  • Experience in the leadership and direction of student nurses, enrolled nurses and less experienced registered nurses
  • Recent experience in working in an acute care hospital setting within the Haematology /Oncology specialty
  • ADAC trained and competent
  • Effective communication, problem solving, conflict resolution and negotiation skills
