About Our School

Our Lady of Mercy Catholic College Burraneer is the only 7-12 Girls Secondary College in the Sutherland Shire. Our modern campus overlooks Burraneer Bay and the Royal National Park, providing a tranquil backdrop for learning in a vibrant educational and faith community. We require a Bursar 3 days per week (Wednesday to Friday) preferably with experience in CiA and Compass.

About You

As the Senior School Support Officer (Level 6), you will provide a high-level of support to the Principal and leadership team. As an integral member of the school community, you will demonstrate Our Lady of Mercy Catholic College Burraneer's values and professional standards in interacting with students, staff, parents and the community.

Your responsibilities include but are not be limited to:

  • delivering high level administrative support to the school leadership and support staff
  • supporting the Business & Operations Manager
  • managing financial administration as required including accounts payable, accounts receivable and fee management
  • managing the College reception desk
  • efficiently managing registers
  • a willingness to support the inclusive Catholic religious and cultural environment for students
  • any other duties as directed by the Principal.

To thrive in this role, you will possess:

  • proficiency in administrative and clerical tasks
  • competence in financial and/or administrative management
  • valuable qualities such as tact, reliability, and the ability to work in a team effectively
  • a commitment to honesty, discretion, and maintaining confidentiality
  • prior experience working with children or in a school environment
  • strong interpersonal and organisational abilities
  • familiarity with emerging technologies like Google Suite, Oracle, Microsoft Office software, Google Chrome, Compass, CiAnywhere.

You will have attained:

  • a minimum of five years of administrative/clerical experience
  • experience in a school environment
  • proficiency in financial and administrative management
  • a Certificate III/IV (TAFE NSW) or equivalent post-secondary qualification in administration, human resources, finance, accounting, or a related field is preferable.
