tekfinder have taken on a number of new Apigee & API gateway focussed integration engineering roles for a global brand who are moving to Apigee X

This businesses Apigee environment is massive and they're in the middle of a huge migration, moving millions customers with zero downtime.

This is a great time to join as you wont find this work anywhere else in Sydney right now. Some of the countries best leaders in API gateway & Apigee best practice work here.

Their roadmap is big and they're doing things within their applications that no one else is doing, from the identity aspect, the scale of the service, their proxys etc - its all really interesting work.

We're looking for mid and senior level software engineers. Whether you're a Java or a JS engineer is irrelevant. This business actually build their gateways in Node, XML and core JS.

These are hands-on coding roles where you'll pitch in with solution design and implementing changes across a massive Apigee environment.

The quality of the engineers in this team is extremely high with some of the leaders having worked at Google.

This is a migration to Apigee X - the new Google-hosted version and we're keen to speak with senior engineers who have worked with Apigee X before.

Were looking for;

  • Mid and Senior level software engineers with domain knowledge from a large, enterprise Apigee customer
  • Apigee and/or API gateway domain knowledge
  • Understanding of externalized gateways/proxy configurations
  • Ability to work with complex routing, authentication flows, and API management
  • Can configure Apigee Edge/X policies, proxies, and API products.
  • Manage authentication solutions.
  • Optimize API performance, scalability, and security.
  • Great communication

  • Migrating from on-premises Apigee to Google Cloud SaaS version
  • Complex identity logic built into Apigee over 10 years
  • Zero downtime migration affecting 2 million customers

3 days per week in the Sydney CBD office.
