VIQ Solutions is a principal in the transcription industry with a longstanding history of providing recording and transcription services globally and throughout Australia. The VIQ Solutions team is seeking independent contract Speech-to-Text Editors who are passionate about leveraging cutting edge technology as a tool to increase their production and pay potential. Our contractors are a community of talented editors who are interested in getting a behind-the-scenes look at the way law enforcement and legal systems work. Our work lets you show off your editing skills, helps grow your experience, and gives you the flexibility of setting your own schedule. While some of our court clients have work available during more standard business hours, we have plenty of work available for editing in the evenings, early mornings, and weekends as well.

In your role as a VIQ editor, you will review AI-generated speech to text documents against original audio and video recordings to ensure a high level of accuracy. Each day you will encounter new and diverse content. The recordings we edit rarely feature just one voice and often range from two to six speakers, or even more Our Remote Operations team are eager to provide you with all the information and support needed to be successful at editing for VIQ and we incentivise those who are interested in moving through the process quickly.

High-quality documents and timeliness are of the utmost importance to our clients. Imagine someone you knew had a legal or law enforcement issue – you'd want any conversations, notes, reports, legal proceedings, etc. to be as precisely edited as possible  With this contracting position, you can help ensure true and correct documents to assist people in difficult times.

What you will offer

Equipment Minimum Requirements (at own expense)

  • Infinity foot pedal
  • Quality headphones
  • Base internet speed (15 mbps or above)
  • Word 365 license
  • Windows 10 Operating System (or above)
  • National Police Clearance
