Salary Guide: $75,000-$85,000

A Cleaning Service Employee Level Three (CSE3) is an employee who, upon completion of their training, is competent in performing duties within the scope of this level. In performing their role, the employee is expected to comply with all lawful and reasonable directions issued by Kestrel Cleaning Services and Supplies Pty Ltd, refrain from any unlawful conduct during the course of employment (including while on work premises or when using company resources), and adhere to all company policies and procedures as implemented, amended, or replaced from time to time.

The role of a Cleaner Level 3 will be able to operate any and all cleaning Equipment and Machinery during their cleaning tasks. Tasks required by such an Employee include:

• Operate hand-held and ride-on cleaning equipment, including:
• Blowers
• Vacuum Cleaners
• Polishing Machines
• High Pressure Cleaners
• Carpet Steam Cleaners
• Grout and Tile Machines
• Cleaning of windows (internal and external), walls, ceilings, exhaust fans, and air conditioner facias/filters, which may require the use of ladders exceeding the standard 4-step height.
• Is responsible for the quality of their own work subject to general Supervision.
• Works against complex instructions and procedures.
• Performs those tasks customary utilising a range of materials and equipment to clean a range of surfaces, in order to restore or maintain buildings in a clean and hygienic manner.
• Deep cleaning and sanitising of bathrooms including scrubbing of toilets, tiles and shower screens.
• Deep cleaning and sanitising of Kitchens including Range Hoods, Oven and Stove Tops
• Dusting of all hard surfaces.
• Linen changing and laundering.
• Collection and return of property Linen/Keys.

Essential Criteria:

• AQF Certificate I (Cleaning Operations or similar), OR completion of AQF (Australian Equivalent) Compulsory Secondary Education;
• Demonstrated ability to operate large cleaning machinery (e.g., ride-on scrubbers, steam cleaners)
• Sound knowledge of safe work practices and chemical handling
• Ability to work at heights using ladders (above standard 4-step)
• Good physical fitness and stamina to undertake manual tasks
• Ability to work independently and follow complex instructions
• Reliable transport to and from work sites
• Flexibility to work varied hours including early mornings, evenings, or weekends if required
• Attainment of Police Clearance

Desirable Criteria:

• Previous experience in commercial or industrial cleaning
• Previous experience working in mining, construction, or similar high-standard environments
• Familiarity with safety systems and site inductions
• Basic mechanical understanding for troubleshooting equipment issues
• First Aid Certificate
• Ability to supervise or mentor junior cleaning staff

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $75,000.00 – $85,000.00 per year
