About the Role:

We are partnering with a leading financial services company known for excellence and innovation to hire a
Senior Financial Accountant
. Their recent acquisitions have further strengthened their position as a market leader.

As part of a diverse and highly engaged Finance team, the
Senior Financial Accountant
will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy of general transactional accounting, reconciliations, timely reporting, and tax compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the month-end close process, including preparation of journals and financial control deliverables for accurate group and statutory reporting.
  • Oversee tax compliance (BAS, IAS, FBT, income tax, and withholding tax), ensuring timely and accurate submissions.
  • Perform bank, balance sheet, and trading reconciliations; support APRA and other regulatory reporting.
  • Support system implementations and drive process improvement across financial control functions.

About You:

  • You are degree-qualified with 3–5 years of experience in accounting and finance, ideally within financial services.
  • CA/CPA Qualified
  • Prior experience in public accounting and tax is highly regarded.
  • As a self-starter and team player, you demonstrate strong attention to detail and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • You thrive in a fast-paced environment and contribute to a culture of curiosity, flexibility, and accountability.
