MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN / PROJECT COORDINOR - DISTRIBUTED POWER GENERATION

The renewable energy team at Process Engineering Technology (PET) provides operation and maintenance services for a portfolio of gas-fired cogeneration plants (Jenbacher) and small-scale hydro-turbines. These services include day-to-day maintenance activities as well as major outages and upgrades. These assets are located throughout Greater Sydney.

We are looking for experienced engine technicians to perform a wide range of tasks both in the field & at our office. On top of their technical expertise and trade qualifications, the successful applicant will have:

· Excellent diagnostic skills for on-site troubleshooting, including reading P&I and wiring diagrams

· Communication skills to effectively work with our team and the client

· A desire to expand their knowledge beyond the traditional boundaries of their trade.

· This is role will be office and field based

Duties of the role include, but are not limited to:

· Monitor and inspect sites on a frequent basis to ensure the generation target is met

· Execute work orders assigned by the Maintenance Planner in a timely fashion

· Plan and scope major overhaul services to engines and balance of plant, in cooperation with the Maintenance Planner

· Manage sub-contractors on site

· Show ownership and initiative for safety and quality in line with PET's and our client's systems and expectations.

· Coordinate with the REG O&M Maintenance Planner for scheduling of projects.

· Manage Stores holdings.

· Cooperate with the maintenance engineer for the purpose of condition monitoring and improvements identification

· Accurately report maintenance data

· Undertake 24hours rostered after-hours support

· Identifying corrective maintenance requirements

· Controlling consumables and critical spares onsite

· Follow up from breakdown maintenance to ensure optimal long-term operations are established

· Perform monthly safety and HSE inspections of the sites you are responsible for

· Comply with all PET and client policies

Skills

· Cert III in Automotive Mechanical Technology - Light Vehicle or

· Fitter and machinist with engine experience or

· A Certificate III in Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Technology, Mobile Plant Technology or a relevant Diesel trade certificate

· Strong mechanical aptitude

· Able to travel to various sites as required

· Valid Australian driver's licence

· Forklift licence (desired)

· Previous experience onsite with industrial equipment

· Electrical disconnect reconnect – desired

· Competent with computers

· Attention to detail
