About the role

Meadows Hotel is seeking an experienced Assistant Manager / Events Manager to join our team in our hotel. This is a full-time position that will play a crucial role in supporting day to day operations, as well as coordinating and overseeing events and functions at our venue.

What you'll be doing

  • Assisting in overseeing daily hotel operations of the venue, staffing, and service delivery
  • Coordinate and oversee events and functions, ensuring seamless planning and execution
  • Develop and implement marketing strategies to drive revenue and increase customer satisfaction
  • Manage and train a team of food and beverage staff, ensuring high levels of customer service and operational efficiency
  • Monitor and control budgets, inventory, and costs to ensure profitability
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and licensing regulations
  • Contribute to the overall strategic direction of the hotel's hospitality operations

What we're looking for

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role or events management role, preferably in a hotel or resort setting
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing team
  • Excellent customer service orientation and the ability to understand and meet the needs of diverse clientele
  • Proficient in budgeting, inventory management, and cost control procedures
  • Demonstrated success in planning and executing successful events and functions
  • Thorough understanding of relevant health, safety, and licensing regulations
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Degree or diploma in Hospitality Management or a related field preferred
