The Role

We currently have an exciting opportunity in our Sydney office for a full time Senior Structural Engineer. This role offers a unique and exciting opportunity to contribute to the company's growth and success as we establish and expand our presence in the market.

This position will form an integral part of the business and will include undertaking structural engineering design on a wide range of projects across all project phases. The role will also entail working closely with the business leadership team to develop client relationships and identify opportunities to enhance market presence.

Key responsibilities

  • Structural Engineering design on a wide range of projects across numerous market sectors.
  • Interaction and establishment of personal relationships within the local market.
  • Project collaboration with clients, consultants and contractors to achieve successful project outcomes.
  • Management of projects including fee estimates, tender submissions, technical documentation, project scheduling & achievement of budgets and deadlines, under the guidance of senior staff.
  • Provide technical input to projects as required.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to junior engineers.
  • Attend site, meetings, and inspections as required.

Ideal Candidate

We are currently looking for a motivated and enthusiastic person with the following characteristics:

  • Minimum of 6 years experience in structural engineering design and project delivery
  • Hold an engineering degree recognised by Engineers Australia;
  • Well-rounded structural engineering skill set with keen interest in further developing these skills
  • The capability to liaise confidently and clearly with both internal and external stakeholders at all levels
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong work ethic to achieve results collectively
  • Demonstrate agile, outcomes-oriented project delivery focus
