Small Engine Mechanic Opportunity with Client in Australia

Our client is on the lookout for a highly skilled Small Engine Mechanics to join their expanding team. This position is suited for mechanics with a strong affinity for small engine repair, who takes pride in their ability to troubleshoot and maintain a variety of outdoor power tools. The successful candidates will play a key role in ensuring that equipment such as lawn mowers, chainsaws, and trimmers operate at their best, delivering performance and reliability to customers.

 

 Essential Requirements for Candidates

  • A proven track record with at least 5 years of hands-on experience as a Small Engine Mechanic, showcasing expertise in the repair and maintenance of small engines.
  • Must possess relevant technical certifications, such as a Certificate III in Outdoor Power Equipment Technology or an equivalent, accredited in Australia.
  • Applicants are expected to submit professional references, recent pay stubs, a valid passport, and a clean police clearance.
 

Key Duties:

  • Accurately diagnose and repair small engine equipment, ensuring efficient operation and reliability.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance and services to minimize downtime and maximize the lifespan of machinery.
  • Replace or repair defective parts, adjusting equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Provide customers with expert advice on equipment maintenance and care, enhancing user satisfaction and equipment longevity.
  • Maintain comprehensive records of maintenance, repairs, and parts inventory, adhering to safety and operational standards.
  • Ensure the workshop area is kept clean and organized, following all safety protocols.
  • Collaborate with sales and customer service teams to deliver exceptional service and support to customers.
