As a Sales Team Manager, you are passionate about providing strategic leadership to a team of customer managers and sales specialists to identify and develop digital sales opportunities across your portfolio. Telstra Broadcast Services, a wholly owned subsidiary of Telstra, is the managed service provider of choice for many leading global entertainment and sports companies who are moving content around the world, from global markets and live special events. We are looking for an experienced Head of Asia Sales who will help drive Telstra Broadcast Services (TBS) business development and achievement of sales targets for the Asia region, and lead media customer acquisition, experience and retention.

Key Responsibilities:

As a Sales Team Manager, you combine your vast sales experience and excellent people leadership skills with a passion for developing customer relationships to deliver the following responsibilities:


• Lead the development and implementation of segment/portfolio specific sales strategies, including undertaking pipeline management and forecasting activities to achieve sales revenue growth; translating this into sales targets, productivity plans and roadmaps for the team to execute.

• Make a strong contribution to team capability development, providing guidance and coaching to direct reports, developing sales and product competency, and undertaking succession planning in order to promote a high-performing team environment.

• Make decisions related to team planning across all functions, including prioritisation of the portfolio of customers and team member delegations in each quarter to ensure appropriate coverage and achieve customer and sales targets.

• Monitor, evaluate and report on the performance of sales across portfolio/segment, identifying and acting on risks/barriers to the achievement of outcomes (daily call volumes, pipeline cadence, targets, service and sales escalations) across the sales team, including resolving service and sales escalations.

• Authentically engage and collaborate with team members and key stakeholders across the business (e.g. Multi Domain Sales Specialists, Customer Success & Delivery, Channel Enablement) to identify and act on opportunities to grow sales (new and existing), boost productivity and develop innovative ways to improve business outcomes.

• Apply deep expertise in best practice sales methodology, Telstra's suite of products, services and solutions, and knowledge of emerging market/technology trends to develop insights on the impact to both customer needs and sales approaches.

• Take an innovative and creative approach to identifying and recommending alternative business models (e.g. alliances, out-sourcing and in-sourcing strategies) for operations, to drive sales and increase productivity, with consideration to the benefits and risks of a range of potential recommendations.

• Significantly contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enable productivity, sales growth and develop strong customer relationships that position Telstra as the preferred provider.

· Lead the business development teams for TBS' professional media portfolio across the Asia region

· Develop and execute sales strategies across the region , aligning to company objectives and maximising resource output

· Leverage your exceptional professional network in broadcast, media and sport to identify growth opportunities and meet/exceed sales and revenue targets

· Build effective relationships with key internal and external stakeholders such as the TBS team, Telstra in-region teams, partners and customers.

· Provide thought leadership to contribute to the product and technology strategy for TBS ensuring alignment with global growth opportunities.

Qualifications:

· Recognised by TBS customers and prospects as an industry expert in professional media and broadcast services

· Proven experience leading a team of sales professionals to collaborate with media customers in tailoring complex solutions

· Deep knowledge of broadcast operations, media and broadcast products and workflows, and media product and service development

· Experience with the delivery of high value live entertainment and sports content

· Good understanding of global content transport and value-added services, experience with international affiliates and global markets

· Highly successful in consultative selling and customer solution selling skills with the ability and desire to coach team members in this field

· Strong industry network with existing relationships across the broadcast and sports industry and partners in Asia

· Documented track record of driving growth in established and new markets

· Proven ability to lead strategic and influential presentations to C level Executives.
