About the Role
We're seeking an experienced Technical Writer to support the development of operational procedures for a major mining operation in the Southwest Region of WA.

This is a site-based role on a 4/3 roster, working Monday to Thursday in a 40-hour week, with full camp accommodation provided. You'll work closely with operations, maintenance, and engineering teams to develop high-quality, fit-for-purpose documentation. Experience in mining, heavy industry, or manufacturing is essential.

What you'll do: Key responsibilities…

  • Write and revise operational procedures across plant and equipment

  • Liaise with SMEs, operators, and supervisors to ensure accuracy and clarity

  • Translate technical concepts into readable, usable documentation

  • Ensure procedures meet site standards, safety guidelines, and compliance frameworks

  • Participate in document reviews, revisions, and version control

  • Support project managers and process owners with ad hoc documentation tasks

What we're looking for: About you…

  • Proven experience as a technical writer in mining, manufacturing, or heavy industry

  • Strong communication and documentation skills

  • Ability to work onsite with multidisciplinary teams

  • Highly organised with attention to detail

  • Familiarity with safety systems and compliance in operational environments

  • Must have the right to work in Australia
