About the business

We are a beautiful and peaceful 9-hole golf course that is popular with golfers of all ages and abilities Lakeside is best known for its challenging layout and abundance of wildlife. Lakeside is wedged between environmentally protected wetlands and Lake Coombabah, which is in the top five lakes in Australia in terms of importance. Don't be surprised to see kangaroos, koalas, goannas, swans, ducks and the occasional snake during your round. For those that find they run out of time to fit in 18 holes due to work or the kids, Lakeside is perfect to get your quick fix of golf. Average round of 9 holes takes 1.5hrs to complete and its about a 3km round trip. Our small team are committed to providing a positive and friendly experience for our valued players from start to finish.

The role

We are looking for a hard working and enthusiastic person to join our small team. The role requires an array of reception and pro shop duties including:

  • Answer phone calls.
  • Take bookings.
  • Greet customers.
  • Management of customers and tee times.
  • Restocking pro shop stock.
  • Open and close golf course.
  • General cleaning and tidying of the pro shop and facilities.
  • Problem solving and multi tasking

Requirements:

  • Must be based in the Gold Coast region.
  • Must have customer service experience.
  • Preferably have reception or administration experience.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Basic experience with MS Office: Word, Excel & Outlook.
  • Majority of work is weekend based - generally 6am - 12pm shift or 12pm - close (7pm) both Saturday and Sunday along with a couple of weekday afternoons required also (2pm - 6/7pm)
  • Flexible Monday to Sunday availability (usually one full weekend off a month).
  • Must be reliable and have the ability to work without supervision.

Desirable:

  • Knowledge and experience in the game of golf.
  • Knowledge and experience using social media outlets including Facebook and Instagram for marketing purposes.
  • Drivers license and own car
