Boilermaker / Welder

About the role

Steelco South Coast Pty Ltd is a family owned and operated business that is seeking an experienced Boilermaker / Welder to join our team in Nowra, NSW. This is a full-time position that will involve both workshop and on-site work to fabricate and install a varied range of structural, architectural and mechanical projects.

What you'll be doing

1. Reading and Interpreting drawings to fabricate, repair and modify structural steel, architectural steel, pipework and equipment
2. Welding using various equipment, including MIG, TIG and stick welders
3. Assist with the installation and maintenance on site of metal structures and equipment
4. Ensure all work is completed to a high standard, meeting quality and safety requirements
5. Collaborate with the wider team to troubleshoot issues and identify process improvements

What we're looking for

1. Recognised trade qualification as a Boilermaker / Metal fabricator or Welder
2. Demonstrated experience in fabricating, installing and maintaining metal structures and equipment
3. Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications
4. Skilled in using a variety of welding equipment and techniques
5. Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality
6. NSW OH&S white card and drivers license
7. Willingness to work in a team environment and follow safety procedures
8. Desirable - High risk work license in Forklift, EWP, Rigging and working at heights
