The Role

You will be part of a unique team environment, with a network of support across services as well as comprehensive wellbeing programs. As an Early Childhood Teacher you will have access to leadership and support on emerging trends impacting the sector.

These opportunities will be offered on a
permanent full-time basis
across our services in the
Newcastle, Maitland & Hunter regions
. Candidates who hold an approved Diploma level qualification in Children's Services and currently studying towards obtaining their teaching degree will be considered as (working towards) if they have a suitable amount of experience.

EXPERIENCE/CRITERIA

• Effective implementation of the ELYF curriculum suitable to the needs and interests of children in care
• Demonstrated experience in assessing needs of children, monitoring their progress and ensuring school reading when applicable
• Excellent organisational skills and concise record management

Demonstrated understanding of:

1. National Quality Framework (NQF);
2. Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF);
3. Child Protection and Mandatory Reporting and Workplace Health and Safety issues and practices.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Degree in Early Childhood Teaching as recognised by the Australian Children's Education and Care Authority (mandatory),
  OR
  an approved Diploma level qualification in Children's Services as identified by the Australian Children's Education and Care Quality Authority (candidates currently studying towards obtaining their teaching degree will be considered if they have a suitable amount of experience).
• NSW accredited Teacher
• Child protection qualification
• Current First Aid Certificate, Anaphylaxis and Asthma Management training
• Working with Children Check verification number
