About Us
Studio Esoteric is an independent, Melbourne-based fashion label focused on thoughtful, small-scale production. We're looking for a skilled seamstress to support upcoming releases with small-batch sewing.
Role
You'll be sewing small production runs of skirts, dresses, and pants from provided patterns and fabrics. All materials will be supplied — fabric, notions, patterns — and you'll work independently from your own space.
Production volume will vary depending on sales, but this is strictly small-batch work (not mass production). Timelines will align with product drops, with some flexibility.
Requirements
- Melbourne-based (for easy pickup/drop-off or fittings)
- Strong attention to detail + clean, professional finish (stitch quality, neat seams)
- Confident working from patterns independently
- Reliable with timelines
- Able to provide examples of past work (portfolio, photos, or references)
- Own sewing machine, overlocker & workspace
