Skin by Dermatologists was born from the desire to create a welcoming specialist practice centred on patient care and kindness for the people of the ACT and its surrounds. Since opening 12 months ago our patient base has rapidly expanded, and we are now seeking like-minded individuals to join our small but fabulous team on a full-time, part-time or casual basis. Our practice offers a diverse range of medical and surgical dermatological services as well as laser and light-based therapies. Our clinical team strives to provide exceptional patient-centred care with compassion, respect and professionalism. Key Responsibilities- Welcome patients, manage the check-in process, and ensure up-to-date records
- Schedule and manage appointments, referrals, and correspondence
- Manage incoming calls and respond to email enquiries professionally
- Prepare and process invoices, Medicare claims and receipt payments
- Have strong numerical skills with the ability to handle payments accurately and complete end of day settlements
- Ensure patient confidentiality and compliance with practice protocols
- Provide administrative support to our Dermatologists and clinical staff
- Assist with supplies management
- Maintain the day-to-day cleanliness of the practice
- Previous experience as a Medical Receptionist or Administrator, or study/employment within the Health Sciences is highly regarded
- Experience with Xestro medical software, Medicare billing and medical terminology is preferred but not essential as training will be provided
Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite and confidence in learning new technologies
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent organisation, multitasking, and attention to detail
- Ability to multi-task and prioritise duties
Ability to work alone and as part of a close team
Current National Police Check and Working with Vulnerable People Check must be obtained before start date
- Practice opening hours – Monday to Friday 8am-4.30pm
- Flexible hours – full-time (38 hours/week), part-time or casual options available
- Hourly rate ($25–$35/hour) based on experience
- No weekend or public holiday work
- Flexibility and occasional additional hours may be required to support the team
