How You'll Make a Difference
We have a diverse growth opportunity for a Senior Electrical Lighting Engineer to join our expanding ITS & Lighting team in Brisbane.
In this senior role, you will contribute to technical delivery, team leadership, and project excellence across a diverse range of transport, public lighting, and infrastructure projects throughout Australia and New Zealand.
You'll be involved in all phases of project delivery, including:
- Feasibility assessments
- Detailed design
- Specifications, estimates and procurement
- Site support, construction advice and commissioning assistance
- Client and stakeholder engagement
- Occasional short-term travel to client sites
This is an excellent opportunity to expand your leadership capability within a high-performing, multidisciplinary environment.
Your Work Will Include
- Leading and delivering public lighting and ITS design projects
- Preparing technical documentation including specifications, datasheets and scopes of work
- Producing compliant designs aligned with Queensland's EQL framework and relevant road authority standards
- Contributing to planning, delivery optimisation, quality assurance and risk management
- Supporting and mentoring junior designers and engineers
- Collaborating with national and global AECOM teams to drive technical excellence
Qualifications
The qualities that help you thrive
The following qualifications and experience are highly desired, but if you don't tick all the boxes you could still be a perfect fit for this role. Please apply, all applications will be considered.
- Ideally, 7 years' + experience in electrical engineering, within lighting or ITS is highly desirable
- Understanding of road authority standards (e.g. TMR, TfNSW, MRWA)
- Proven experience in ITS and traffic signal design (desirable)
- Strong communication, stakeholder engagement and problem-solving skills
