About VIDA The Victorian Infrastructure Delivery Authority (VIDA) is a specialist project delivery organisation, responsible for delivering the biggest transport and health infrastructure program in Victorian history. This includes more than 200 projects such as the Metro Tunnel, North East Link, West Gate Tunnel, removing level crossings, new and upgraded hospitals in Footscray, Frankston and Warrnambool, and specialist programs.

About VHBA
The Victorian Health Building Authority (VHBA) is responsible for the rollout of the Victorian Government's multi-billion-dollar health capital projects. We're delivering world-class health facilities across Victoria including new public hospitals and emergency care, community health services, ambulance branches, residential aged care and mental health facilities. VHBA also provides technical support across engineering, property, asset management and environmental sustainability disciplines.
The Opportunity
The Executive Director, Technical Services plays a key role in leading all facets of Technical Services and will be driving the collaboration between Delivery and Technical, Design, Assurance, and Planning Services (TDAPS) to develop innovation and organisation success. This position will be proactively identifying and managing risks, applying expertise to resolve issues, and achieve successful outcomes for the organisation by championing innovative approaches, emerging technologies, and current trends.
We are looking for someone who:
- Can build and maintain strong relationships with diverse stakeholders, including government, private sector, health providers, and community groups.
- Is skilled in leading stakeholder engagement, negotiating outcomes, and delivering persuasive advice in complex settings.
- Has knowledge of relevant government legislation with experience in project, asset, property, and technical services management to deliver projects on time, within budget, and to required standards, while proactively managing and mitigating risks.
- Can collaborate as a trusted and influential peer within senior leadership teams, contributing to cross-organisational leadership, operational excellence, and continuous improvement to achieve strategic goals.
