We are currently seeking expressions of interest from experienced Drill or Diesel Fitters for Full-Time DIDO positions at our Drill and Blast Projects in the QLD Bowen Basin on various rosters. Our current projects and respective rosters include:

  • South Walker Creek (Coppabella/Nebo region) - 7/7 roster
  • Isaac Downs (Coppabella/Nebo region) - 7/7 roster
  • Yarrabee (Blackwater region) - 7/7 roster
  • Jellinbah (Blackwater region) - 7/7 roster
  • Barlaba (Baralaba/Banana region) - 7/7 roster
  • Callide (Biloela region) - 4/5/5/4/5/5 roster

NO DRILL EXPERIENCE NEEDED - full training will be provided for Diesel Fitters looking to upskill.

Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor you will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:

  • Perform scheduled drill servicing across our REICHDrill rigs
  • Performing unscheduled repairs
  • Prioritising workloads or unscheduled repairs when required
  • Supervising and/or coaching the activities of Trainee Fitters
  • Maintaining and servicing light vehicles, support trucks and trailers
  • Fulfilling all safety requirements and maintenance reporting needs.

ESSENTIAL Skills and requirements include:

  • Trade Certificate (Mechanical)
  • Hand Tools
  • Driver Licence
  • High level of diagnostic skills and field service fault finding is highly regarded
  • Ability to work autonomously and part of a team
  • Physical fitness and ability to perform manual labour

DESIRABLE skills include:

  • Heavy machinery maintenance experience
  • Refrigerant Handling Licence
  • Ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision
  • Ability to work as part of a small team
  • Excellent communication skills and safety awareness
  • Working at Heights
