St Andrews War Memorial Hospital are seeking to appoint a Clinical Nurse Manager to oversee the running of their theatre complex.

Leading a large, multi-disciplinary team, you will oversee the ongoing delivery and development of procedural services across our 15 Theatres – applying your operational knowledge, leadership capability and communication skills to effectively lead your team to success.

 You'll collaborate effectively with other healthcare leaders in the hospital, working together to deliver optimal patient-outcomes through exceptional clinical care.

  • Achieve optimal patient outcomes and objectives through effective leadership and direction

  • Lead your people through identifying opportunities for development, learning, and improvement.

  • Build a cooperative working environment between members of a multi-disciplinary team, applying your skills to build a high functioning and outcome focused unit 

  • Maintain professional standards of practice through the evaluation of services and through key strategies

  • Ensure optimal procurement and allocation of resources, including recruitment and budgeting to achieve service objectives

As an advanced Clinician, you will demonstrate exceptional skills in Perioperative nursing, a passion for people leadership and strong patient advocacy.

You'll present with:

  • Significant clinical experience within a perioperative environment

  • Ability to lead a team to deliver contemporary, evidence-based patient care

  • Expertise and skills in managing a cost centre budget and people management

  • Advocacy and contribution towards quality initiatives and improvements

  • Bachelor of Nursing Degree or equivalent nursing qualification / AHPRA Registration

  • Post Graduate Qualification in Clinical Speciality

  • Post Graduate Qualification in Management desirable

  • Willingness to obtain required vaccinations in line with hospitals infection control requirements
