Are you a seasoned hospitality professional with strong leadership and financial acumen? INNOVA Warrnambool is seeking a Motel Venue Manager to oversee the daily operations of our 64-room motel & conference space.
About the Role:
As the Motel Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring exceptional customer experiences, overseeing financial and operational activities, managing staff performance, and driving business growth. You will lead a motivated team to optimise efficiency, enhance revenue opportunities, and uphold compliance obligations.
Key Responsibilities:
Customer Service & Sales
- Deliver excellent customer service and maintain a high standard of customer management at all times, ensuring satisfaction and loyalty.
- Collecting and acting on customer feedback to improve the overall running of the motel.
- Dealing with guest complaints. Identify the shortcomings and implement procedures to improve.
Data Analysis
- Collect, analyze, and present relevant business data to aid in decision-making processes, ensuring the business is on track to meet its short-term and long-term objectives.
Financial control
- Control all aspects of finance in the venue, including sales, profitability, stock control, core wages, and controllable expenditure.
- Be responsible for accurate roster planning, based on forecast sales and core wage budget.
- Manage all stock-management processes, including timely stock counts, line checks, wastage reports, loss investigation and staff training.
Rates & revenue management,
- Monitor competitor pricing for all revenue-generating departments and understand the dynamics of the local market, demand generators
- Manage room rates across all third-party platforms and internal systems.
- Develop and maintain relationships with OTAs to ensure maximized revenues.
- Developing business relationships to help attract groups into the motel and conference facilities.
Qualifications, Skills & Experiences
Demonstrated management and leadership skills within the hotel/motel industry.
Demonstrated planning, negotiation, analytical skills, and the ability to develop and implement management strategies.
Sound communication skills. Ability to work cooperatively with business stakeholders, staff, and industry colleagues.
Ability to develop and perform to the annual business plan as endorsed by the Owners/Directors
Ability to identify opportunities for marketing and promotion in line with the business plan and associated business strategies
Commitment to quality product and service and continuous improvement
Demonstrated experience in applying Occupational Health and Safety initiatives in a workplace
Ability to show initiative in the workplace
Current Victorian Responsible Service of Alcohol certificate
Accounting and financial reporting skills
Computer and IT skills relevant to the operation of the Motel.
