About the position:Join the Owner's Team at our Lobs Hole site, and take charge of technical assurance for all mechanical construction and installation works. This critical role involves managing site engineering personnel and proactively overseeing contractor activities. Your expertise will be vital in ensuring the final built product strictly adheres to the Employer's Requirements (ER) and contractual obligations.
We offer an initial 2-year contract, with the possibility of extension. Working a 14 days on / 7 days off (FIFO) roster, or a standard 5/2 (DIDO) roster if you are already located within the Snowy Mountains Region.
Key Responsibilities:Lead Safety: Maintain the highest standards of health and safety, actively implementing safety plans, and demonstrating behaviors consistent with the Snowy Values and SHL Health & Safety policies.
Stakeholder Collaboration: Utilise flexible leadership and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with all project stakeholders, proactively resolving conflicts and maintaining strong working relationships.
Mechanical Oversight: Manage mechanical resources to ensure all installation and construction activities are well-coordinated, monitored, and uphold SHL's interests throughout the project lifecycle.
Quality Assurance: Regularly review project deliverables to ensure they consistently meet all project quality, engineering standards, and objectives.
- Performance Monitoring: Continuously monitor and prioritize progress and quality within your own work and across your team.
Culture Building: Continuously develop a constructive and positive team culture by modeling and promoting appropriate professional behaviors and effective systems.
A Mechanical Engineering degree and significant experience managing multidisciplinary Greenfield/Brownfield projects. You are expected to have successfully delivered complex infrastructure with demanding contract interfaces. As a highly adaptable and independent worker, you can proactively manage priorities and navigate changing business demands with ease. Your core strength is excellent communication, allowing you to effectively engage stakeholders across all levels and locations, all while championing a safe, supportive, and positive workplace that aligns with our corporate values. E&M and construction installation experience is a plus.
