About the Role:

We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Male Personal Carers to join our team, providing high-quality care and support to elderly clients. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering person- centred care in alignment with the needs and wishes of each client, focusing on maintaining comfort, dignity, and quality of life.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide personal care, including assistance with showering, dressing, grooming, and toileting
  • Assist with mobility, transfers, and positioning
  • Offer emotional and social support, helping clients and their families navigate challenging times
  • Assist with meal preparation, feeding, and ensuring proper nutrition
  • Monitor the physical and emotional well-being of clients, reporting any changes in condition to healthcare professionals
  • Work collaboratively with nurses, healthcare providers, and families to provide tailored care to each client
  • Implement palliative care approaches, focusing on pain management, comfort, and emotional support
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date care documentation, adhering to confidentiality and compliance standards

Essential Requirements:

  • Certificate III in Aged Care, Individual Support, or equivalent
  • Experience working in aged care environments
  • Understanding of palliative care principles and practices
  • First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
  • National Police Check and Working With Children Check (or willingness to obtain)
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Compassionate, patient, and respectful approach to care

Desirable:

  • Current driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle

Job Types: Part-time, Casual
