About The Royal Melbourne Hospital
As one of Victoria's leading public health services the RMH delivers generalist and state-wide care. RMH is home to key state-wide services including trauma, infectious diseases, neuropsychiatry, and eating disorders, and provide tertiary level care in specialties like neurosciences, nephrology, oncology, cardiology, and genomics.

We are also known for the highest clinical research output of any health service in Australia, with research programs continuing to grow and keeping us at the forefront of clinical practice.

We are looking for a Project Director to be part of the Parkville Precinct Redevelopment project, a once-in-a-generation opportunity to reimagine healthcare, research, and innovation in the heart of Melbourne. Backed by an initial $2.3 billion investment from the Victorian Government, this world-class precinct is undergoing a major redevelopment, including an upgrade to the Royal Melbourne Hospital (RMH).

About The Role

  • Lead multiple work streams across planning, procurement, delivery, and mobilisation phases of the Parkville Precinct Redevelopment (PPR).
  • Deliver strong communications and engagement with RMH clinical, operational, and support services to ensure alignment and shared ownership of project inputs and outcomes.
  • Foster and manager key stakeholder relationships including collaborating with stakeholders such as the Victorian Health Building Authority (VHBA), The Royal Women's Hospital, and other Parkville Biomedical Precinct organisations.
  • Contribute to Business Unit planning and strategy in partnership with the Chief Redevelopment Officer and Business Unit Leadership Team.

Essential
About you:

  • Commitment to live the Melbourne Way - putting people first, leading with kindness and achieving excellence together.
  • Highly effective at building relationships and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders
  • Significant experience working on large hospital infrastructure projects with a record of achievement in planning, procurement and delivery of complex infrastructure projects at a senior level.
  • Tertiary qualified in architecture, engineering, legal, accounting, finance or other equivalent commerce discipline, building, construction management or clinical discipline, or demonstrated relevant project management/delivery experience

Desirable

  • Experience working in the Partnerships Victoria Public Private Partnership (PPP) framework
