Apply now to join our dynamic Marketing and Communication team and be responsible for coordinating and growing Somerset College's social media presence across Meta, LinkedIn and YouTube.

You will bring a strong eye for detail and creativity, to plan, create and deliver engaging content that captures the life of the College, from academic and sporting achievements to the arts, alumni, community events and beyond.

This hands-on storytelling position contributes to the production of compelling content across multiple formats, including video, photography, graphics and copywriting, ensuring alignment with the College's brand voice and values.

YOU WILL

Execute the social media strategy - strengthen engagement, enhance online presence

Develop and execute social media content

Design and edit content (video, photo, graphics, copy) for various platforms

Optimise paid social media campaigns

Monitor socials, research trends, monitor and analyse key metrics to maximise impact

Report on performance and propose informed recommendations

Work collaboratively to ensure alignment with brand and quality service delivery

Contribute collectively to departmental responsibilities, duties and deliverables

YOU WILL BRING

Demonstrated experience in social media management and content creation, ideally within a communications, marketing, or education setting

Proficiency in content production, including photography, videography, editing, and design, with the ability to adapt content across formats and channels

Experience with graphic design and editing tools (e.g. Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, Final Cut/Adobe Premiere, or similar)

Understanding of paid social media campaigns, analytics, and performance reporting

Strong storytelling ability with excellent writing, editing, and communication skills

Creativity and attention to detail. Balance creativity with strategy and data insights

Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines

Tertiary qualifications in Communications, Marketing, Media, Graphic Design or a related field, or equivalent professional experience

Service-focused, adaptable, collaborative and effective with teams and the community

Current Working with Children Blue Card
