Boilermaker / Fabricator

Gippsland Body Builders is a local family ran business specializing in the manufacturing of semi trailers & truck bodies.

Gippsland Body Builders are currently looking for a welder / fabricator with relevant experience to join their busy team.

The desired applicant's role will involve:

• Fabricating tipping bodies from aluminium & steel
• Fabricating trailer chassis from aluminium & steel
• Truck chassis alterations & towbar installations
• Trailer repair work & alterations
• Fabricating componentry for all aspects of trailers & trucks

Desirable attributes, but not essential, include:

• Experience in heavy vehicle fabrication
• Experience in heavy vehicle maintenance / service and repair
• General knowledge of the heavy vehicle/transport industry
• A willingness to improve your skill set and grow within the business
• Knowledge and understanding of OH&S legislation
• Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team

Desired (but not essential) licenses & qualifications:

• Cert 3 in Engineering & metal fabrication (or equivalent experience)
• Current forklift License
