About the role
BNCS is seeking experienced NBN Aerial Workers with active enAble account to join our team in Brisbane, QLD. Previous technicians from Optus, Telstra and TPG are encouraged to apply. Kindly read this ad carefully so you know whether you're the right fit for this role.
As an NBN Aerial Worker, you will play a vital role in the installation, maintenance, and repair of the National Broadband Network infrastructure. This full-time position offers the opportunity to contribute to the ongoing development and improvement of Australia's telecommunications network.
Candidates must have valid Australian work rights, including citizens, permanent residents, or appropriate work visa holders.
What you'll be doing
- Safely performing aerial work on the NBN network, including installing, maintaining, and repairing overhead cables and equipment
- Adhering to all relevant safety protocols and procedures to ensure the wellbeing of yourself and the community
- Troubleshooting and resolving network issues in a timely and efficient manner
- Collaborating with the broader BNCS team to ensure seamless service delivery
- Maintaining accurate records and documentation of all work performed
What we're looking for
- Proven experience as an NBN Aerial Worker or similar role in the telecommunications industry. Please note that if you don't have that much experience in aerial network, we're willing to train as long as you have the majority of the required certificates to start.
- Possession of an active enAble account with the relevant/necessary skills
- Strong technical skills and the ability to work with a variety of tools and equipment
- Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking abilities to diagnose and resolve issues
- Demonstrated commitment to workplace health and safety
- Excellent communication and customer service skills

- Work Safely at Heights
(RIIWHS204 / RIIOHS204 or CPCCCM2012 / CPCCC2010 / CPCCCM1006) - Power Awareness (UETREL006)
- First Aid (HLTAID011)
- CPR (HLTAID009)
- Preferably with valid EWP (Elevated Work Platform) licence
- Must be willing to undergo Anti-Money Laundering Check and Police Check via CV Check
- Preferably authorised by Energy QLD (Ergon and Energex), however, this can be eventually arranged if the candidate is not yet an Energy QLD authorised person
