The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced and passionate
Electrical & Automation Leader
to join our Site Leadership Team at our Caboolture site. You'll be responsible for driving the electrical and control infrastructure, ensuring compliance, reliability, and continuous improvement. You'll partner with other leaders to deliver operational excellence, support safety and quality, and lead the electrical team to achieve strategic goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and deliver the Electrical Department components of the the Caboolture business plan, aligning with overall site goals.
- Maintain optimum availability of site electrical equipment and control systems, including electrical infrastructure, PLC / control systems, automation, and process control.
- Drive continuous improvement of electrical systems, controls, and infrastructure to support site growth, reliability, predictive maintenance, and performance improvements.
- Ensure electrical compliance and control standards are implemented, adhered to or exceeded across the the site, including safety, regulatory requirements, internal standards, audits, and quality controls.
- Coach, mentor, and develop all direct reports and team members, ensuring succession planning, individual development, and growing internal capability.
- Work collaboratively with other maintenance teams, operations, engineering, and leadership to foster cross-functional alignment and performance improvements.
- Contribute as a full member of the Site Leadership Team to elevate overall performance of the site (not just electrical), helping set strategy, KPIs, budgets, and deliver results together with other leaders.
What we are looking for
- Proven
experience in industrial / manufacturing environment
or
heavy industrial
setting, with responsibility for electrical / automation / control systems. - Strong technical competence
in electrical and control systems, automation, PLCs, maintenance, fault finding, predictive / preventive maintenance (or readiness to lead such programs). - Leadership experience:
managing a team, mentoring staff, building successors, fostering team development. - High commitment to safety
, compliance, and creating a psychologically safe or care-oriented team culture. - Ability to
drive change and continuous improvement
across systems, infrastructure, controls and teams. - Excellent collaboration skills to partner with other site leaders, maintenance, operations, engineering and support functions.
