Position Overview

Looking to kickstart your career in heavy machinery or construction?

B&J Catalano has an exciting opportunity for motivated individuals to join our team as Trainee Loader Operators, working on CAT 950–980 machines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate loaders under guidance and training
  • Assist with loading, stockpiling, and general site tasks
  • Perform basic machine checks and cleaning
  • Follow safety procedures and supervisor instructions
  • Support the team with general duties as required

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A current C Class Driver's Licence
  • National Police Clerance
  • Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
  • Positive attitude and commitment to safety
  • Previous exposure to the civil or mining industry (preferred but not essential)
