Property Manager

About the role

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Property Manager to join our team at Property Hub Byron Shire. As a  Property Manager, you will be responsible for the management of a portfolio of around 75 Residential properties in the Byron Shire.  This is an excellent opportunity to be a part of a small local business and enjoy the beautiful surroundings of the Northern Rivers. Ideally we are wanting the successful applicant to be fully licensed or close to completing Cert IV in Real Estate and experience working as a property manager would be a plus.

Work Hours

We are open to either Monday - Friday 35hrs per week or 4 days 28hrs per week with either (Wednesday/Thursday) off.

What you'll be doing

• Effectively managing a portfolio of residential rental properties, including conducting property inspections, overseeing maintenance and repairs, and handling tenant enquiries and issues
• Ensuring all properties are well-maintained and compliant with relevant legislation and regulations
• Efficiently collecting and processing rental payments, and managing arrears and vacancies
• Providing excellent customer service to both landlords and tenants
• Proactively marketing properties to secure new tenants and maintain high occupancy rates
• Assisting with the preparation of routine reports and financial statements
• Collaborating with the principal to contribute to the growth and success of the business (rewards for bringing in new business)

What we're looking for

• Proven experience as a Property Manager, preferably within the residential leasing and property management industry
• Strong knowledge of relevant legislation, regulations and best practices in property management
• Excellent customer service and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain positive relationships with landlords and tenants
• Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise and juggle multiple tasks effectively
• A proactive and solutions-oriented mindset, with a commitment to providing high-quality service
• Proficiency in using property management software and other relevant technology
