We are currently seeking a dedicated 2 x Domestic
Assistants to join the team providing support services at
Bethanie Illawong Aged Care Home located in Hamilton
Hill. Co-located with a retirement village, Bethanie
Illawong is a small and intimate 39 bed facility with a village
garden, where residents have their own kitchenette for greater
independence and live within a relaxed and social community.

To be successful in this role, you will have experience in
cleaning ideally in an aged care, hospital or similar environment,
and be of a friendly nature, as interaction with our residents is
core to our culture.

Successful applicants will form part of our casual pool who
provide relief across morning shifts, Monday -
Saturday. As this role covers staff on annual leave,
applicants must have the ability to work up to 38hrs per
week, as required. You may also have the opportunity to be
trained in and work across the roles of Kitchen Hand and Laundry
Assistant.

About You

  • Previous experience working as a Domestic Assistant /
    Cleaner, ideally in an aged care, hospital or similar
    environment
  • Have a 'can do' attitude and a genuine
    compassion for our residents
  • Reliable with a strong work ethic
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a
    team
  • Willingness to uphold the Mission, Vision and Values of The
    Bethanie Group
  • Willingness to obtain relevant vaccinations
  • National Police Clearance (or willingness to apply for
    one)

The Role

  • Ensuring bathrooms, toilets, furniture, fittings, floors
    and communal areas are kept clean and tidy
  • Ensuring supplies are stocked across the facility
  • Liaising with other employees to ensure the needs of our
    residents are met
  • Ensuring residents' personal clothing is individually
    labelled and put away in their rooms, identifying items that
    require mending
