So, what does the role entail?

As a Care Worker Level 1, you will:

  • Domestic Assistance: Dusting, vacuuming, mopping, emptying garbage, washing dishes and putting them away, washing and ironing clothes, bed making, meal preparation, assisting around the garden and shopping.
  • Unescorted shopping/ baking: Running errands on a client's behalf.

You'll work hard and with empathy to complete a variety of domestic duties for our clients. But this role is much more than just a cleaning job. Every task you complete as a Care Worker helps an older person to live as independently as possible in their own homes.

We are looking for someone with:

  • A current First Aid Certificate (HLTAID003/4) and current CPR certificate (HLTAID001.)
  • The right to work in Australia.
  • National Police Clearance or willingness to obtain (myHomecare will organise via WorkPro at no cost).
  • Experience working in aged, disability care or domestic assistance is desirable, but not required.
