The Opportunity

Our National Workers Compensation Team is looking for a Workers Compensation Systems and Reporting Specialist to join our team.  This role can be based in Port Kembla and Sydney NSW or Mt Waverley VIC. 

In this role, you'll use your analytical and system management expertise to ensure the accuracy, compliance and transparency of injury and claims data across the business.

This is a role where operational excellence meets purpose - using data and systems to make a real difference for our people and the business. It's a unique opportunity for someone with strong data and reporting skills to lead change, modernise how we manage and report information, and shape a more contemporary, future-focused function. You'll have the autonomy to create solutions, improve data integrity, and deliver insights that directly influence strategy and outcomes.

What Will You Do?

You'll lead our data and reporting processes to ensure information is accurate, timely and actionable. Working closely with the Workers Compensation and IT teams, you will:

  • lead and deliver a technology plan for the workers compensation team, focused on automation, Artificial Intelligence and other opportunities to deliver efficiencies and enhanced data and reporting
  • and support one direct report in the claims support team, fostering a high-performing, collaborative environment
  • manage the workers compensation claims management database, ensuring system integrity, data accuracy and regulatory compliance
  • develop and maintain Power BI dashboards and reporting tools that provide clear, actionable insights for business and leadership teams
  • prepare and submit regulatory, financial and actuarial data reports accurately and on time
  • liaise with regulators, system providers, IT, and internal stakeholders on system and compliance requirements
  • continuously improve data quality, reporting processes and system functionality to support informed decision-making
  • track and analyse claims and injury trends to identify risks, insights and opportunities for improvement

  • advanced data analysis and reporting skills, including experience with Power BI and Excel
  • proven ability to manage and improve systems and reporting processes
  • experience working with large datasets, financial or compliance data
  • strong attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities
  • clear communication skills and the ability to build trust with technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • a collaborative approach and genuine interest in using data to improve systems, performance and compliance
  • experience guiding teams or individuals, formally or informally, with a teamwork and improvement mindset
