We're on the lookout for an enthusiastic Apprentice Cook to join our fast-paced, casual lunch bar in Murarrie. If you're passionate about food and eager to learn, but tired of the idea of late nights, weekends, and split shifts — this is your chance to train in a supportive kitchen, work alongside experienced cooks, and still enjoy your afternoons free.

The Role:

As an Apprentice Cook, you'll be learning the ropes in a fast-paced kitchen environment — from prepping ingredients and cooking short-order breakfast and lunch items to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and food safety. Our menu is simple but flavour-packed, catering to a loyal local crowd in the Murarrie industrial precinct.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with prepping and cooking breakfast and lunch items (brekkie wraps, toasties, burgers, salads, and grab-and-go).
  • Learn and follow food safety and hygiene standards.
  • Help with stock rotation, prep lists, and kitchen organisation.
  • Work efficiently under the guidance of senior cooks.
  • Take pride in producing consistent, quality food every day.

Who You Are:

  • Reliable, punctual, and willing to take direction.
  • Calm under pressure with a positive attitude.
  • Organised and tidy in your workspace.
  • No prior experience necessary — training provided.
  • Food Safety Certificate or willingness to obtain one is a plus.

Job Type: Apprentice Cook (Part-time or Casual, 21–38 hours per week)

Pay: As per Apprentice Award Rates (based on year of apprenticeship and age)

Operation Days: Monday to Friday
