The Opportunity

Based in South-east, the Health, Safety & Wellness Partner will play a pivotal part in fostering a positive safety culture which encourages a proactive approach and mindset.

With a natural style that is encouraging and engaging, you will support and drive health & safety activities across our Keysborough sites. With a platform to make meaningful impact across the business, you will relish the opportunity to work closely with the Group HSW Manager, functional peers and your business portfolio to implement strategies that drives continuous improvement, embed a strong safety culture and mitigate risk.

Agile and adaptable, you are confident and comfortable presenting to frontline leaders, as you are sharing key learnings with Engineering and office staff. Focusing on innovations and improvements that influence a consistent approach and focus on HSW.

  • Provide oversight of critical incidents and support the site with incident investigation and key learnings
  • Coach, educate and build capability of leaders to take ownership of safety in their respective areas
  • Injury and RTW management working closely with injured workers
  • Work closely with external stakeholders including Rehab providers
  • Provide health and safety support for key site projects and change management activities
  • Communicate, recommend, and effectively implement any potential changes
  • Maintain business and compliance reporting, and drive the completion of corrective actions to eliminate root causes/reoccurrence
  • Champion Health and wellness initiatives through site events, awareness sessions and activities

What will give you the competitive advantage?

  • Formal qualifications WHS Diploma/Certificate IV or equivalent is essential
  • Solid understanding of HSW legislation, regulations, and compliance codes
  • Working knowledge of risk management and its integration with workplace safety initiatives
  • Understanding in RTW and workers compensation (Vic)
  • Demonstrated experience in leading positive and engaged HSE culture through collaborative interactions, behavioural programs, and assurance activities across the organisation.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to influence and communicate to people at all levels and adapt approach as required.
  • Agile and adaptable to evolving needs
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
  • Pragmatic, resilient, solutions orientated mindset
