Journalist (full-time)

The Plains Producer is seeking a journalist to join our team on a full-time basis based in Clare.

About us:

SA Today publishes newspapers across South Australia and is owned by a group of experienced, passionate, independent publishers.

With 3,500 copies sold each week, our award-winning country newspaper, The Plains Producer, has a weekly print readership of approximately 10,500. Their primary purpose is to provide news, information and advertising to the people of this area. It offers businesses, clubs, and individuals an unbiased medium to convey their message.

About you:

The successful candidate will have the following skills and experience:

  • Experience in journalism or a university graduate cadet
  • Photography skills
  • Ability to work autonomously and part of a team environment
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Excellent people skills
  • Understanding and knowledge of the Adelaide Plains and Mid North communities.

Previous regional news media experience is desirable but not essential.
