Senior Options Trader – Asian Markets

A globally active trading firm is seeking an experienced
Senior Options Trader
to join its growing derivatives team. The role focuses on discretionary positional trading across Asian equity and index options, supported by sophisticated analytics, strong liquidity access, and a high-performance trading infrastructure. The firm places great emphasis on disciplined risk-taking, analytical rigour, and continual refinement of trading approaches.

The Role

You will be responsible for identifying, developing, and managing options strategies, taking clear ownership of both idea generation and P&L. The environment is collaborative and intellectually demanding, with regular interaction across trading, research, and technology teams. Success in the role requires insight, conviction, and the ability to navigate fast-moving markets with a structured risk framework.

What We're Looking For

  • Extensive experience trading equity or index options, ideally with exposure to Asian markets.
  • A demonstrable track record of strong, risk-adjusted performance.
  • Deep understanding of volatility, market structure, and the behaviour of major institutional flows.
  • The ability to trade a discretionary view with discipline and clarity.
  • Strong communication skills and an ability to perform under pressure.

Beneficial Experience

  • Competence in Python, R, or similar tools for analysis.
  • Knowledge of additional asset classes or cross-asset trading.
  • Background in guiding or developing junior members of a trading team.
