About the role:

Commencing term 1, 2026 the TAS Computing Secondary Teacher inspires students through engaging lessons while supporting their academic, social, and emotional growth. The role involves fostering a safe, inclusive classroom, working collaboratively with colleagues and families, and upholding the Christian values and ethos of the College.

Experience:

  • Proven experience teaching at the secondary school level, ideally including Years 7–12.
  • Demonstrated success in developing and implementing curriculum in alignment with the NSW curriculum.
  • Experience in assessing and reporting on student learning, using a variety of tools and strategies.
  • Strong classroom management skills and the ability to maintain a positive, supportive learning environment.
  • Competence in using technology and digital tools to enhance student engagement and learning outcomes.
  • Participation in co-curricular or extracurricular activities, camps, or school events

Essential:

  • Relevant teaching qualifications and accreditations in NSW
  • Conditional, provisional or proficient registration with NESA
  • Specialising in teaching Stage 4 Technology (computing), Stages 5 and 6 Computing Technology and Enterprise Computing
  • First Aid & CPR Certificate
  • The successful applicant will possess NSW Working with Children Check and be willing to undertake a National Criminal History Check (Newcastle Anglican will consider the relevance of any reported outcomes).
