About Us

We are a Sydney-based property development and private lending company specialising in residential projects and long-term investments. As our Managing Director continues to expand business operations across Australia, we are now looking for a professional English Tutor to provide one-on-one, business-focused English lessons on a regular and ongoing basis.

About the Role

This role is ideal for an experienced English educator who enjoys working closely with professionals and can tailor lessons to real-life business and communication contexts.

You will work directly with the Managing Director to improve his speaking, listening, and professional communication skills through structured lessons and daily practice.

This position focuses purely on English language tutoring and coaching — no office administration or secretarial duties are required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver one-on-one English lessons to the Managing Director, focusing on speaking, listening, and workplace communication
  • Develop and adjust lesson plans according to the student's progress and learning goals
  • Incorporate real business topics (meetings, negotiations, networking, etc.) into lessons
  • Provide regular feedback and practical exercises to enhance fluency and confidence
  • Track improvement and maintain lesson records
  • Assist occasionally with English-related proofreading or correspondence when needed

About You

  • Background in English education, TESOL, Applied Linguistics, or similar field
  • Proven experience teaching English as a Second Language (ESL) or Business English to adults or professionals
  • Native or near-native English proficiency
  • Strong communication skills, patience, and cultural sensitivity
  • Reliable, organised, and capable of building a consistent learning structure
  • Experience tutoring Mandarin-speaking learners is an advantage
