We provide marquee hire for some of the regions music festivals, sporting events, key local horse racing events, think Geelong Cup, and unique special events.
The Role
As Prestige Event Hire approach the busy season of events, we are looking for hands-on, reliable and skilled Marquee Assemblers to join our team. This is a physical role where you will visit event sites, build marquees, style the space and then pack down after the event. We are looking for efficient labourers who can follow instruction, take initiative and have pride in the overall quality of the job, all whilst looking through a safety lens. Working alongside our onsite team, you'll help create impressive event spaces for our well-respected clients. This is a hands-on position requiring attention to detail and a strong commitment to safety.
There is an opportunity for Supervisor roles for experienced candidates.
Key Responsibilities
· Load/unload and transport marquee equipment to and from event locations
· Assembly and pack down of large marquees in line with event requirements and safety standards
· Build flooring, set up furniture and stage marquee space onsite in line with the client's brief
· Post event, clean, repair and store equipment ready for the next event
· Assist with keeping a clean and organized warehouse to prevent hazards and encourage smooth daily operations
· Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures whilst in the warehouse and out on site
What We're Looking For
· Previous experience in large event marquee assembly or a similar role is preferred
· Proficient in using hand and power tools
· Strong physical stamina and ability to lift heavy equipment
· Attention to detail and commitment to high-quality work
· Strong teamwork and communication skills
· Ability to adhere to OHS standards
· Flexible availability is a must (weekend work is required)
· Ability to stay away onsite for multiple nights
· Valid driver's licence and reliable transportation
· White card is required
· Forklift and Heavy Rigid licences highly desirable
· Pre-employment medical assessment may be required
