Opportunity
WEM has a rewarding opportunity for a Landscape Tradesperson to join the team.
We have a strong portfolio of work with multiple projects underway across Sydney's Northwest and Southwest. This role requires travel to job sites across the area.
Key Responsibilities:
- Installation of hardscape structures, including pavement sub-bases, concrete, stone features, shelters, street furniture, fitness equipment, irrigation systems, and playground installation including surface finishes and feature elements
- Installation of softscape elements including streetscape, industrial gardens basins, riparian corridors, and turf preparation.
- Assist the Team Leader with the management of machinery and landscape preparation
- Operate small plant and equipment to execute tasks efficiently and to the highest standard.
- Ensure worksites are clean, organised, and operating smoothly
- Strictly follow safety regulations and statutory requirements, including Local Council and EPA guidelines.
- Lead and mentor Landscape Labourers and Apprentices, sharing expertise and fostering a skilled, motivated team.
We Are Looking For Someone Who Has:
- Relevant Certificate or Diploma in Landscaping or Horticulture, or 5 years of experience in a similar role
- Strong knowledge of the construction industry and processes
- Ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a positive attitude toward teamwork
- Clear and effective communication skills
- Ability to guide and support Landscape Labourers and Apprentices in day-to-day tasks
- Strong commitment to health, safety, environment, and quality standards
- Proactive, with the ability to use initiative
- Construction White Card
- Valid Driver's Licence with flexibility to travel between job sites
