North Regional TAFE are seeking to establish an open recruitment pool.

This pool will be used to appoint suitable applicants as vacancies arise, which may include full-time, part-time, permanent or fixed-term vacancies, with the possibility of further extension(s) and/or permanency.

Here's what you need to know:

• Appointments: May be made from this pool until 30 June 2027.

As the Lecturer Automotive, you will be responsible for delivering training and assessment for qualifications from Certificate I through to Certificate III and or other related Automotive Industry Training Package this includes both theory and practical learning activities.

As a lecturer at NRTAFE, you would be focussed on teaching, facilitating learning, assessing and mentoring students in accordance with relevant curriculum and/or training package requirements. You will also undertake Professional Activities and Activities Related to Delivery. In order to maintain quality educational services, you are required to keep abreast of technological and other developments in their field through professional development to provide up-to-date information and advice to the College and industry, where appropriate.

Relevant Qualifications and Experience

To be eligible for employment, you must have:

1. Significant relevant industry/ vocational or lecturing experience (minimum of 5 years)

4. AUR20220 Certificate II in Automotive Air Conditioning Technology
5. AUR20520 Certificate II in Automotive Servicing Technology
6. AUR21920 Certificate II in Automotive Tyre Servicing Technology
7. AUR20720 Certificate II in Automotive Vocational Preparation
8. AUR31120 Certificate III in Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Technology
9. AUR30620 Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology
10. AUR31220 Certificate III in Mobile Plant Technology (Mobile Plant Equipment)

It is preferred that applicants already possess a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or can demonstrate willingness or progression towards achieving it.

There is a minimum qualification required to deliver accredited vocational education and training (VET) as defined by the Registration Standards Standards), or its successors. The current minimum qualification required is the Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40122, TAE40116, or TAE40110), or a secondary teaching qualification with an Assessor Skill Set (TAESS00011, TAESS00019, or TAESS00024).

Applicants who do not yet hold the minimum required VET credentials are still eligible to apply, however North Regional TAFE will require the successful candidate to be enrolled, and have commenced training in, an approved training and assessment credential and record satisfactory progress to enable the credential to be completed within two years from commencement.
