About the Role

  • Fixed term (Leave Replacement)
  • Full Year, Commencing Term 1 2026
  • Teaching English (Middle and Senior Years), with additional methods (Politics and/ or other Humanities) highly desirable

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging English lessons that foster critical thinking, creativity, and literacy skills
  • Contribute to curriculum design and assessment practices within the English Faculty
  • Use a range of teaching strategies and digital tools to engage diverse learners
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance programs and promote excellence in English
  • Uphold MGGS's commitment to child safety in all aspects of teaching and school life

About You:

  • Hold current Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) registration or can gain VIT registration. Teaching graduates are encouraged to apply.
  • Deep understanding of curriculum requirements and best practice teaching strategies
  • A passion for literature, writing, and fostering student voice
  • Skilled at building meaningful, respectful relationships with students and colleagues
  • Enthusiastic about introducing innovative, student-centred teaching methods that inspire and engage
  • Collaborative and creative mindset, committed to enhancing learning programs and student outcomes
