Lake Illawarra, New South Wales, Australia South Coast Disability Services Full time $45,000 - $60,000 per year

Disability Support Workers (DSW) provides care and social support to disabled people at our workplaces: Ulladulla, Batemans Bay and Moruya.

South Coast Disability Services (SCDS) provide support to people who live in their own homes as well as having a SIL house at Longbeach.

Duties include:

Providing personal care to participants, assisting with household chores, domestic tasks, cleaning and laundry.

Providing transport to social outings and medical appointments. Promote social inclusion and emotional support.

Working as part of a team and the ability to work independently.

Administration tasks: completing shift reports and various recording.

DSW's will administer medication (training provided)

Successful applicants provide support in a person-centered manner and promote choice and control.

Applicants need to have good communication skills (written and verbal), also be able to problem solve.

Successful applicants will be provided training in all aspects of the position, including managing behaviours of concern.

Applicants need to have excellent availability to join our team.

Experience working with people with disabilities is essential. Also, WWCC, Current First Aid Certificate, NDIS worker screening.
