HIA Insurance Services (HIAIS) is a specialist insurance broker, providing insurance products and risk advice to the residential building industry. Formed in 1984, HIAIS is as a joint venture between two leaders in their respective industries, Aon and the Housing Industry Association (HIA).

Client Manager | HIAIS

The Client Manager is responsible for providing best in class service for a key portfolio of HIAIS clients and will work closely with their team members to implement strategies which focus on growth and retention of the team portfolio.

This Client Manager is considered a key driver to our long-term growth ambitions in this segment and will work closely with leadership to drive positive results in the region.

What the day will look like?

  • Lead a diverse portfolio of clients, focusing on providing best in class, expert advice as a specialist in residential construction
  • Building strong relationship with clients, as well as internal and external stakeholders to enhance the client experience
  • Identify development opportunities for designated portfolio and design appropriate servicing solutions including, but not limited to, additional insurance products and risk management strategies to support and protect client's businesses
  • Managing and overseeing Home Warranty Insurance reviews, liaising with appropriate stakeholders as required to obtain best possible outcomes for clients and their business requirements
  • Develop new and profitable business within HIAIS ACT region
  • Contribute to the strategic direction of the HIAIS business in ACT and nationally

Skills and experience that will lead to success

This opportunity would suit someone with solid a foundation and knowledge in general insurance, particularly ACT Builders Warranty and NSW Home Warranty Insurance and passion for servicing clients.

In this role you will be provided with support to continue to grow your understanding of construction insurance, particularly both a specialist product for residential construction clients.

To be successful you will have:

  • Proven ability to build and maintain strong client relationships
  • Outstanding communication and presentation skills
  • A self-motivated individual with a proven track record in driving portfolio growth
  • Strong technical understanding of Commercial Insurance products
  • Expertise in growing and leveraging professional networks
  • Effective organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage and prioritise different aspects of the role with focused attention
  • A strong passion for continuous learning and a curious mindset, with the ability to think creatively to deliver exceptional results for both clients and the HIAIS business
