The Youth Mind Collective
is a values-driven psychology practice based in
Geelong
, dedicated to supporting the mental health and wellbeing of children, adolescents, and their families. We provide compassionate, neurodiversity-affirming services including individualised therapy and comprehensive assessments, tailored to each young person's unique strengths and challenges.

We are seeking a
passionate and thoughtful Child and Adolescent Psychologist
to join our team.

This role involves delivering evidence-based therapeutic support and psychological assessments, contributing to a collaborative team culture, and making a real difference in the lives of young people.

We welcome applications for both
full-time and part-time
clinicians (employed position with leave entitlements).

About You

You're a reflective, compassionate clinician who is passionate about supporting young people in a way that honours their individuality. You enjoy working collaboratively, value ongoing learning, and thrive in a team that balances professionalism with warmth and humour.

Responsibilities

  • Provide individualised, evidence-based therapy to children and adolescents using modalities such as CBT, ACT, mindfulness, or play-based approaches
  • Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments (e.g. cognitive, educational, behavioural) and prepare clear, strengths-focused reports
  • Work collaboratively with families, schools, and other providers to support shared goals and continuity of care
  • Deliver services under Medicare and/or NDIS, aligned with best practice and client goals
  • Maintain timely and ethical clinical records
  • Participate in regular supervision, professional development, and reflective practice

Qualifications

Required:

  • Full registration as a Psychologist with AHPRA
  • Experience working therapeutically with children, adolescents, and families
  • Proficiency in psychological assessments (e.g. WISC-V, WPPSI-IV, WIAT-III)
  • A neurodiversity-affirming, inclusive clinical approach
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Current WWCC, Police Check, professional insurances, and valid driver's licence
  • Eligible to provide services under Medicare

Preferred:

  • Educational & Developmental endorsement
  • Experience with NDIS frameworks and/or school-based settings
  • Familiarity with ADOS-2 (desirable but not essential)
  • Commitment to trauma-informed and culturally responsive care
  • Membership with APS, AAPi, or similar
