About The Role
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Sleep Technician to join our team in our three-bed sleep laboratory. This evening position is responsible for admitting patients and preparing them for overnight polysomnography (PSG) testing.

Regular evening shift hours (6:30pm – 11:30pm).

Key Responsibilities

• Greet and admit patients arriving for overnight sleep studies.
• Provide clear instructions and reassurance to patients regarding procedures.
• Apply and calibrate electrodes, sensors, and monitoring equipment according to established protocols for PSG studies.
• Conduct equipment checks and troubleshoot minor technical issues to ensure high-quality data collection.
• Accurately document patient information and setup details.
• Collaborate with overnight staff to handover patient status and ensure smooth continuity of care.
• Maintain a safe, comfortable, and professional environment for all patients.

About You
To succeed in this role, you will have a high attention to detail and work effectively in a team or independently as required, within a fast-paced environment.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to put patients at ease.
• Technical aptitude for equipment setup and troubleshooting.
• Attention to detail and commitment to patient safety and data quality.
• Previous experience in sleep medicine, healthcare, or diagnostic testing is desirable but not essential.

Remuneration:
Base Hourly Rates in accordance with Enterprise Agreement + superannuation based on experience level and qualifications, exclusive of penalties or allowances.
