About the Position:

Mullein Pharmacy Hillcrest has an exciting opportunity for a Registered Pharmacist in Charge to join the team on a full-time capacity.

The successful candidate will be working with our Retail Manager and assistants on a roster which includes every second weekend.

The pharmacy operates from 08:00am to 06:00pm weekdays, 08:00am to 03:00pm Saturdays, and 09:00am to 02:00pm Sundays.

Our pharmacists at Mullein Pharmacy Hillcrest are focused on delivering services and to enable them to do this, other areas of daily operations are overseen by the Manager, other team members or from our Head Office.

This role is therefore ideal for a pharmacist who wishes to work in a team environment and is interested in helping the team deliver these services.

Remuneration is negotiable for the right candidate.

Pharmacist Roles and Responsibilities:

Our pharmacists are responsible in delivering healthcare services, including:

• Dispensing and counselling (average 120 to 150 scripts/day)
• Vaccinations
• Co-ordinating packing and checking of dose administration aids
• Provision of services under 8CPA including MedsChecks

Additionally, the Pharmacist is also responsible for:

• Assisting the Retail Manager with staff rostering according to set budget
• Identifying staff training requirements
• Routinely reassessing current procedures and identify changes if needed

Qualification and Skills Required:

• Bachelor of Pharmacy or equivalent
• Current registration with AHPRA
• Current qualification in vaccine administration
• Understanding of relevant pharmacy industry legislation and regulations
• Exceptional communication, organisational and interpersonal skills
• Strong commitment to customer service delivery
• Ability to work autonomously
• Understanding of 8CPA programs and other health related initiatives
• Demonstrated computer literacy

Mullein Pharmacy Hillcrest uses Z-Dispense, Z-Office, MedAdvisor and SureMed X. Familiarity with these software are not critical as training is provided.
